- One of the most popular excursions for families staying in Sunny Beach is the half day trip to the village of Kozichino. It's only about 30 minutes away from the resort but it feels like stepping back in time. It is one of the best examples of a traditional Bulgarian village.

- To see all around the area you're driven about in a horse and cart or donkey and cart. Now obviously there was a time when this was a major form of transport around the world but here in Bulgaria it still is in some parts – especially in these mountainous areas.

- After you’ve seen around the village you can come here to this wee craft centre where people give demonstrations of their trade like spinning and weaving. It’s a bit like a living museum. Actually a bit like the Ulster folk museum in the UK and being a tourist venue they don’t miss a heartbeat. The excursion ends with a BBQ in the meadow with games and donkey rides for the children.
